We ordered some drinks while we decided on our meals. The server was very attentive and helpful. The place is quaint and cozy and we were seated right away. Just to make sure we called ahead and even though there were no tables available to book online, they were able to find a spot and hold a table for us! Fairfax on short notice right before dinner on a Sunday. Now while I didn't sample these my companions had no complaints and everyone was left full and happy.Īll and all it made for a fantastic Mother's Day lunch and I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in town. The others had 'The American', 'The Beet and Goat Cheese Arugula Salad', and 'Crab cakes'. My entree was the filet mignon and that thing melted in my mouth (no photo I started eating before I remembered) I didn't try the Burrata but those other two were tasty as h*ll. For appetizers we had the Maple, bacon brussel sprouts, the Bruschetta Trio, and the Burrata. Now for the food, hello folks, it was delicious. Even with a full house we were never neglected. Our waitress, Leza was absolutely the best. Instead I slipped on the hoodie I had just bought in her little gift nook, Yay me. We were lucky enough to be seated on the deck, and while it was a little breezy we didn't want to go inside it was just too beautiful. We were greeted by Emily who was just the sweetest young lady, and Inside was spacious and beautiful with great views of the water front. I'm visiting from out of town and was treated to lunch at this delightful restaurant. Overall the service was great and it was a good experience. The fries looked homemade and tasted great. It had nice flavor, but definitely not worth $17. The patty was very similar to a 5 Guys burger but only one patty, not two like 5 Guys. I prefer domestic beer, but if you like IPA's this is the place for you. I tried 3 different beers and the beer was too bitter for my taste. A person on staff will then come to your table (usually under a minute or two) and take your request and then flip the can over to the red side up. When you need food or another drink, you turn the can upside down with the green label facing up. You don't go up to the bar, instead there's a beer can which has a green and red label on it. They have an unique system to getting service. The atmosphere is great! There are huge tables as well small tables with bar stools. The upstairs is a huge area which still has an old-world charm of an old factory. At first you are warmly greeted and escorted upstairs (As long as you made a reservation prior to coming). But inside, it's a whole different story. I would've never thought to stop in this place if you just look at it from the outside. 10/10 all around spot! Thank you for a great dinner. Can’t wait to come back especially in the summer so we can experience the outdoors section. Place was extremely clean and well presented as well. Anthony who brought our food out was also extremely kind and friendly and offered to help if we needed anything. Bringing out fresh cornbread and extra sauces and making sure we had everything we needed. Tammy was our waitress and she did everything she could to make our experience perfect. We were sat immediately when we came in and everyone had a smile on their face. It’s the first time we felt like our waitress went out of our way in a long time as well as cared about us as a customer. The service was actually extremely impressive. Pulled pork Mac and cheese was filled with a good amount of pork and the Mac was good! We enjoyed all the food we got. The brisket was tender and melt in your mouth good. After exhausting every last option we finally got good food! The smoked wings were absolutely fantastic and flavorful and the sauce is very good. Visit date ( Dec 8th, 2023) - We finally found our favorite BBQ place in the Hudson Valley. Would go back for a dinner experience maybe. ![]() Outdoor bar also available.įree parking available on left and right sides of restaurant. There is seating inside as well as lounge chairs either tables for quick drinks. Seating outside is covered but open air and with the slight breeze off the Hudson it was perfect. The ambience was lovely for a warm August afternoon. The lobster roll needed a sauce because it was a bit lacking in taste.maybe a garlic aioli or a garlic coleslaw. The flavor of the 2 of 3 sandwiches were enjoyable, but when the sandwiches arrived, they were all very soggy so they had to be eaten with a knife and fork. We ordered the Lobster Roll with Fries, Prime Rib sandwich with Caesar Salad, and the French Onion Burger with Truffle Fries. Reservations are usually required, but I believe you can walk in (just not on a busy day or night). Came to Blu Pointe (315pm) after enjoying the 1pm Pride of the Hudson boat tour.

In this range the bike is smooth, forgiving predictable and handles like a gentleman. As a daily Pacific Northwest rider the majority of my riding is below 35 MPH (excluding trips). While it has the, Holy this bike is powerful, factor when one wants to get on it, that is the smallest part of the story. The bike is an absolute monster with it and has wonderful fuel economy, however that is not why I would recommend it. I have ridden Steve's flash for about 40k miles now and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm strictly posting this to try to get folks thinking differently about how to view their actual riding, and to not consider dyno charts as the holy grail unless your goal is to have the fastest bike on the dragstrip. Please understand I'm not making any comments about anyone's flash. But remember, in order for this to exist, the entirety of the tuning must be addressed, not just the WOT columns. Flat TQ curves will mean more flexibilty in gear selection. The bike will be easier to ride over a wider range or rpm/ gear / throttle/load scenarios. ![]() The more area under the curve in total, the better the engine will perform in a street riding scenario. At least this way you can surmise to some extent what the engine is capable of at lower throttle settings, assuming the tune is consistent and proper throughout the entirety of throttle position and rpm. If you do want to try to glean info from a dyno chart for street riding I would suggest to get off the HP trace and use the TQ trace instead. Think what that dyno chart comparison would look like. and the Gixxer is really just getting going up around 10k. The difference is that the versys pulls from 2k to 10k rpm. ergonomics aside, would you prefer to ride a versys 1000 or gixxer 1000 for your everyday bike? Clearly the gixxer WAY outpowers the versys, even though they are almost the same displacement. The dyno chart told nothing of the story. The bike performed much better, much sharper to throttle and immediate response at lower rpms and throttle settings. Why? Because the smaller cams had a lot more light throttle performance. I ended up changing the cams, lowering the hp to 110, and liking the bike a whole lot more. When I built my c-10, I had it up to 118 hp on the dyno. Then in the 80's dyno charts permeated every motorcycle review ever written. The big 2 strokes would lay down great dragstrip runs, but were not known as the best commuter bikes. Back in the 50, 60's and 70's drag racing had a huge effect on motorcycle sales. Sadly, performance enthusiasts, in this case motorcyclists, have done this to ourselves. Would you want to ride it on the street? I think not. Yet it's WOT dyno chart would be incredible. Have you ever seen a top fuel race car or bike? Think of how it idles, belching raw fuel into the air. And yet it is the only real tangible data point we can see on paper regarding performance. Nothing about fuel economy, ridability, throttle control, nothing. It virtually tells us nothing about how the bike performs when not at WOT. It tells us about performance at wide open throttle. Pretty much like the majority of c-14 owners. ![]() Commuting / economy, mostly below 4000 rpm, occasional forays into the higher rpms to get his blood moving. Because there are minor differences between the final and beta theme it shouldn't be looked at as the full uncut version of the theme like the rest of the Japanese restorations and instead as another fun way to experience the JP Special Stage theme. The beta Special Stage theme has over two minutes of audio that was cut from the final release which I've added back to the final version. Most of the beta loops were then cleaned up by DeevDaRabbit to make these highly compressed audio files sound the best they can. ![]() This uses the beta loops ripped directly from the game's ISO before the Sega CD's PCM chip has a chance compress the audio further thanks to Collision Chaos Radio. Since we don't have that kind of limitation anymore all the beta loops have been restored and the soundtrack now loops and plays how it was always intended to. The beta loops were removed from the final release due to the difficulty in getting the CD audio and the PCM audio synced correctly. Every official release of the JP soundtrack either fades out the music early, uses the beta loops incorrectly, or cuts parts of the music out to make it loop.which is kind of baffling because the entire point of the beta loops was to make the music loop. ![]() Originally created as part of a music mod that restores the full, uncut, as originally intended by the original developers: JP soundtrack to the game. 4/30/2024 0 Comments Mxgp 2021 best bike setup![]() Railing ruts perfectly in this game feels soooo satisfying and will actually improve your times significantly Ruts kind of work, they have added more ruts in corners of all the tracks most of the time having 3 lines to choose from, still no actual track deformation though, its still just visual :( ![]() Physics are decent but not perfect of course Game feels really good when you are playing it, watching videos wont do it justice i promise Graphics are very good and perhaps the best they have ever been in a milestone game here are some things i like and dislike with this game so far, keep in mind i haven't played it much but all my time was spent racing online. GP2021 has a definite skill gap this time, not like gp 2020 where anyone could pick the game up and win online races, this game actually takes a small amount of learning. the Game doesn't fell quite the same as previous installments, good and worse. So the Thumbs Up review for me is very borderline. I get Milestone can't control that but it's another incentive to go with that game. If you want my honest opinion, go buy MXGP 2019, the graphics and physics are waaaay better and there is 17 rounds compared to 14. I have a hard time believing they can sell this game for whatever their retail price is. If this game wouldn't have been on sale for $7.00 I wouldn't have bought it. I haven't bought a MXGP game since 2019 because I can just tell from watching videos the games aren't getting any better. Don't get me wrong, I do actually like SX5 but they are yet to make a SX game with the same or better physics and graphics that SX3 has had. After MXGP 2019 and SX3, the quality in games has kept going down. I don't know how, but Milestone continues to make a worse game by the year. The graphics in this game are absolute dog sh*t compared to 2019. Like why do I randomly crash as often as I do? Seriously, why do I just eat sh*t for no reason going down a straight away? Why do I do 180's in corners as often as I do? Adjusting your suspension really seems like it does nothing. The physics in this game are absolute dog sh*t compared to 2019. I know this kind of contradicts what I said before, but I think the AI is too difficult above medium difficulty. Lastly, I like how they made the AI more difficult, however, I am struggling on medium AI difficulty whereas I had no issues dominating on realistic difficulty in 2019. Second, I really like how the track gets rougher as the races go on. First, the first person camera in this game is awesome compared to 2019, in fact it's the only way I can play the game comfortably. I have alot of hours in MXGP 2019 so I'm going to do my review in comparison to that game. 4/30/2024 0 Comments 04 05 yamaha r1 ecu flashSo the Unrestricted file is the same as the Stock file in this area -the values are all zeroes in both files. Basically, the Unrestricted file opens the throttle to 100% in a broader range than the Stock file. You can start with that and adjust according to your riding style and comfort level. So somebody at FT ECU spent time changing these values. They have different Throttle-by-Wire values. I compared the Unrestricted file with the Stock file. That's where the real value of the FT ECU is. If not then create your own tune for your unique bike, and change it when things change on your bike. ![]() If they work for your bike and you're happy then great. So I don't see how anybody can complain about that. So the canned maps have limited value anyway, but they are free after all. Absolute optimum power tuning for each bike would require a unique tune for that bike. The smallest manufacturing variations will create different demands. The pre-packaged Graves maps are designed to work with the Graves systems. You have access to everything, unlike with the PC5. It's far better than using a Powercommander. The product is as good as any Race Kit ECU and the software used to tune it. ![]() Chuck gave me a demonstration of the software and I bought the FT ECU right then and there at his shop. I knew about the Graves maps being locked down before I bought the FT ECU. Once my exhaust arrives I will reflash to graves file and report back.ĭon't get me wrong, I don't regret the purchase at all. I have not tried the Graves file yet, im sure as typical with Graves their products have excellent R&D, but thus far im not to happy with the FTECU file on its own, which on other motorcycles that I have had flashed with them, I was. ![]() I wanted to have a great start point and fine tune if needed from there. For someone like myself who can admit that im not all familiar with how to make changes on the software, and what increments to do, I wasn't really looking for project of dialing in the bike from scratch. Certainly didn't feel like any additional power was gained from the unrestricted map and even things that FTECU always does well like heavily reducing engine braking wasn't really changed and required the user to go in and make changes. However on the R1, while I was expecting the same, aside from changes of removing some emission based components from the bike really didn't feel any difference to my surprise. In my past experience Flash Tune has been pretty thorough with their base tunes and generally I have noticed large changes right out the gate. I did not modify any settings from the already made Unrestricted file. I started flashing the bike with only the FT ECU unrestricted file as I do not have my full exhaust yet and only have a slip on. Software install straight forward but software driver install was difficult for some reason. Removal of the fairing and ECU was very easy and done in less then 15 minutes.įT ECU kit, straight forward decent quality harness. I understand that the gas mileage on the crossplane crankshaft is nowhere near that of the earlier inline 4's, (I think the specification lists 33MPG on the Yamaha website), but it would be great to hear what your average MPG numbers are (average not instantaneous).Purchased from the Graves the Flash Tune Type 18 Bench Flash Kit I've see your posts on youtube and thanks for all the info you've laid out thus far!!!Īny info you can give me would be appreciated! I understand that the gas mileage on the crossplane crankshaft is nowhere near that of the earlier inline 4's, (I think the specification lists 33MPG on the Yamaha website), but it would be great to hear what your average MPG numbers are (average not instantaneous). At any rate, it bothered me enough that I eventually removed the PC3 so I could ride longer and not have to stop for gas. It was a pain to be the "guy" always having to stop and get gas when my buddies and I were doing long canyon rides. My MPG went from about 42MPG to about 29MPG. While it ran cooler and the powerband was better, my gas mileage dropped considerably. The sound was awesome, then I custom tuned it with a PC3. Has it gone up or down following your ECU flash? The reason why I ask is that my first R1 (06'), I had put on a pair of racing baffles. I have a question about gas mileage after you tuned the bike. ![]() I am definitely going to put on a pair of two brothers slip-ons as well. I absolutely love how it handles thus far.
